Mosque May Receive "Occupancy Certificate" Tuesday

Codes inspectors were at the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro, and if all goes well with Tuesday's (8/7/2012) follow-up--the occupancy certificate could be granted then.

On Friday (8/3/2012) inspectors from the Rutherford County Building Codes Department made another inspections of the new Islamic Center of Murfreesboro that's being constructed on Veals Road at Bradyville Pike. Although an occupancy certificate was not issued, reports indicate that the inspectors found the complex in good order.

They plan to return Tuesday for a final check of the water system, which includes the sprinkler and septic tanks. A spokesperson indicaded that if approval is given, prayers in the new mosque will begin as early as next Friday (8/10/2012).
