North Ruth. Co. Company Cutting Nearly 50 Jobs

Nearly 50 people who work for a north Rutherford County company received pink slips. Schneider Electric, which manages electric power and energy, gave no reason as to why they're cutting 49 jobs.

The Murfreesboro Social Security Office has reduced public office hours 30-minutes each weekday. It is now open Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. PLUS: the office now closes at NOON every Wednesday. Social Security employees will continue to work their regular shifts, but this change allows time for face-to-face consultations as well as processing more claims.
