A makeover has taken place connected with the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce’s annual women’s conference and it doesn’t involve an attendee.

In fact, it’s the conference itself that received the makeover, with a new name and a new logo. Formerly known as Creating the Balance, the conference will now be known as the Learn Grown Connect, or LGC Conference.

“Since it is the conference’s 10th year, we thought it was a good time to rebrand and give the event a fresh new look,” said Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Operations Stephanie Brackman. “The new name reflects what attendees have come to expect out of the event over the last 10 years – opportunities to learn new things, grow both personally and professionally, and connect with other successful women in our community.”

The one-day event, held Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Embassy Suites Murfreesboro Hotel and Conference Center, will feature keynote speaker Emily Ellis, former vice president of STAR culture and brand training for The Gaylord Entertainment Company. In addition to the keynote speech, attendees will participate in topical breakout sessions and have the ability to shop from local vendors on-site.

Online registration for the LGC Conference is now open and can be found under the events tab atwww.rutherfordchamber.org. The cost to attend is $65 for Chamber members and $85 for non-members. For additional information, please contact the Chamber at (615) 893-6565.
