M'boro Young Professionals Leadership Summit

Murfreesboro Young Professionals (MYP) will host its first annual Leadership Summit on November 9, 2012 from 8:30 AM- 4:00 PM at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Murfreesboro.

Sessions will include topics such as business etiquette, professional development and personal branding.  The Summit will offer networking opportunities, learning opportunities as well as a social at the conclusion of the day.  The cost for attendance is $30 for MYP members and $50 for non members.  The proceeds from this year’s event will benefit The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties.

Current MYP President, Meagan Flippin, commented on the event saying, “MYP is excited to offer this unique opportunity. Our organization values its ability to develop the professional and personal aspects of young professionals to lead them to be productive members of the community. The MYP Leadership Summit is a direct reflection of those values.”

This year’s speakers will include Allyn Walker with Dale Carnegie Training, Matt Cheuvront with Proof Branding, Van Richmond with Vantastic Seminars and Dr. Katie J. Kemp with Middle Tennessee State University.

The 2012 Leadership Summit presenting sponsors are Middle Tennessee Medical Center and DoubleTree by Hilton.  The break out session sponsors are Backer EHP and State Farm.  Supporting sponsors include CertaPro Painters, Fifth Third Bank and Reeves-Sain.  Media sponsors include The Daily News Journal, Hob Nob Murfreesboro, Murfreesboro Magazine, The Murfreesboro Post, and VIP Murfreesboro.
