WGNS has learned that the suspect in the August 29th robbery of SunTrust Bank in La Vergne has been arrested in Nashville. Brandon Ray Malone was arrested shortly after another bank robbery.

This one was this past Wednesday (9/5/2012) at First Tennessee Bank on Whites Creek Pike in Nashville. People are creatures of habit, and ironically--the La Vergne bank robbery was on a Wednesday as well. 

During that incident in Nashville, an off-duty metro detective heard the call, recognized the vehicle, and made a felony stop. The FBI also responded to the scene to question two subjects and placed Malone under arrest.

He faces multiple federal charges, including the armed robbery of Suntrust Bank in La Vergne. Malone will appear in Federal Court.
