The local Salvation Army can accommodate 600 families — approximately 1,000 to 1,500 Rutherford County children — this holiday season, the Seilers said.

Once the “Angels” are distributed at various locations across the county, people who select their “Angels” can bring the toys and gifts to The Salvation Army, which is located on New Salem Highway, about one block from Old Fort Parkway. The unwrapped gifts need to be returned by Dec. 15.

“Angels” will be distributed at all three Wal-Mart stores in Murfreesboro; the Stones River Mall, Fazoli’s, Goody’s, Michael’s and Peebles in Murfreesboro; and Stone Crest Medical Group and O’Charley’s restaurant, both in Smyrna.

Gifts will be distributed to the families from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Murfreesboro facility.
