A shoplifting suspect evidently hit a Kohl’s Department Store employee with his car on Monday afternoon. The Kohl’s employee told police that he witnessed the subject enter the dressing room of the store with merchandise in hand and then left the room empty-handed.

When the Kohl’s worker entered the dressing room he found the wrapper of the stolen merchandise.

The employee, who works loss prevention for the store, followed the suspect into the parking lot. Once there, he told the subject not to leave that police were on the way. The male suspect then put his Nissan Xterra in reverse and hit the store employee.  The employee sustained injuries to both legs and had to be treated on the scene by paramedics. The subject then fled the scene.

The culprit, who would of only been charged with a misdemeanor theft, now faces leaving the scene of an injury accident charge.

If you’re curious about what the suspect was in such a rush to leave the store with… He stole an electric tooth brush.
