In Smyrna, a daycare worker has been arrested and charged with child abuse. 39-year old Carla Hougland allegedly broke the arm of a 3-year old child. Hougland works at Rock Springs Academy Daycare in Smyrna.

The child is recovering after being treated at StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna.

Hougland will appear in court on January 29th of next year in Rutherford County.
