A car that caught fire in Rockvale quickly spread to a home on Monday on Versailles Road. The car was evidently parked next to the house in a garage when it caught fire. There is no word yet on how the fire started.

A 37-year old female victim was critically injured in the blaze and had to be flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

The Rutherford County Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the blaze within a matter of minutes. 

The name of the victim has not been released.
