Nissan in the Running to Manufacture Second Electric Vehicle

More potential positive news out of Nissan in Smyrna… Nissan could be in the running to build the new zero-emissions Infiniti LE. Nissan is already prepared to begin production of the zero-emissions LEAF at the year’s end. The car would use the same lithium-ion battery pack that is used in the LEAF. The Infiniti, if built in Smyrna, would not be ready for consumers until 2014. If Nissan does move forward with plans to build the new car, then new jobs would be created in the near future.
