Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department’s Fire Marshal’s Office urged citizens to cease all outdoor burning Thursday. The National Weather Service in Nashville has placed the Northern Highland Rim District of Middle Tennessee, which includes Rutherford County, under a red flag warning from noon to 6:00 Thursday night. That being said, similar conditions will exist all day Friday. On Friday we will see Partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 40s along with a slight wind.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly.
