Bryan Barrett and Jon Dinkins with the call on WGNS as tailback Josh Cunningham goes 49-yards for the go-ahead score.

The rain held off much of the game, with the exception of a shower in the second half. The field, however, was very muddy after several days of heavy rainfall. It was a very fast game and it was a good thing as thunderstorms pushed in just minutes after the end of the game.

Oakland trailed the Red Raiders 3-nothing after kicker Colin Brewer booted a 46-yard field goal in the first quarter. The Patriots came back with a 5-yard touchdown by Cunningham to start the second and a 32-yard field goal by John Ingrum with 37-seconds to go in the half to take a 10-3 lead. Baylor would get to midfield and with three-seconds to go in the half, quarterback Nick Tiano found Gage Upshaw for a 50-yard touchdown strike to tie the game at the half.

The third quarter was scoreless and much of the fourth. But the Patriots scored when they needed to and clinch the win.

Oakland's run game racked up 347 of their 376 yards of total offense. Cunningham had 145 yards on 21 carries and Tyler Black 125 on 14 carries. Coach Thomas McDaniel was pleased with the balance...

With the win, Oakland improves to 6-and-1 while Baylor drops to 5-and-2. The Patriots will host La Vergne Friday night.
