In LaVergne, two neighbors are not seeing eye to eye after one neighbor allegedly shot the other neighbors puppy. The incident occurred several days ago and reports indicate the puppy was a 3-pound miniature pinscher.
Evidently, the neighbor shot the dog when the small animal wandered into his yard. The pet owner had gone inside their home to retrieve a leash when the incident occurred. George Garrett, according to News Channel 5, admitted to the dogs owner that he shot the dog after noting that there was a leash law in Tennessee.
LaVergne Police charged Garrett with intentionally killing an animal. The crime is a misdemeanor offense.
