A shooting was reported early Thursday morning in LaVergne. Reports confirmed by LaVergne Spokesperson Rachel Heggen indicate that one person was shot in the stomach at around 5:00 in the morning. The incident occurred at 786 Farmingdale Drive near Waldron Drive.

Rutherford County Property Assessor records show the home is owned by Laura Ann Carter.

At this point, no further details have been released.
