Police responded to the Kangaroo gas station on South Rutherford Boulevard during the early morning hours of Tuesday after two men entered the store asking to buy four boxes of Newport Cigarettes. The smokes cost a total of $239. One of the two men told the clerk he needed to run to his car to grab his cash. Seconds later, the other man who waited in the store grabbed the four cartons of smokes and ran. The two then fled the scene in a four door sedan.
