Pain killers are in high demand right now for Rutherford County residents. A total of 8-reports were filed by St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital officials in recent days for people who came into the Emergency Room seeking narcotic pain med’s when they should have pills from a previous prescription left in the bottle.

The subjects, who are listed as suspects on police incident reports, had previously received a 15 to 30-day supply of pain medication within the past 10-days when they showed up at the hospital requesting more. The cases were all labeled as “Fraud.”
