Come on out and help to Paint The Town Yellow to officially kick off the 2013 Derby Season. Duck Derby that is. As thousands of ducks all across the world are in their final weeks of training for this impressive annual race, your local area merchants need you to come out this Saturday, April 27, and support the racers by Adopting A Duck.
Cost of adoption is $5.00 or a 6-Quack or $25. All adoption proceeds benefit the Child Advocacy Center of Rutherford County. Race Ducks can be adopted at any one of the following Murfreesboro Merchants: Hot Spots Tanning Salons, Julia’s Bakery, Blue Coast Burrito, Demos’ Restaurant, Martin's Home & Garden Center, Penny's Closet, Dillard's, Maple Street Grill, Gondolier Restaurant, Kirkenburt's Smokehouse Grill, E Allen and Stones River Total Beverage.
The Official Duck Derby Race, presented by Sudsy Car Wash, will be held May 18 from 1:00 to 4:00 at Murfreesboro Sportscom (the duck pond is the outdoor pool).
Also, come out for Quacky Wednesday at Buffalo Wild Wings on May 8th from 5pm to 7pm . Penney's Closet will be hosting Fashion with Feathers, Tuesday, April 30th from 5pm-7pm. All events benefit The Duck Derby and The Child Advocacy Center of Rutherford and Cannon Counties.
