The 13.1-mile course starts and stops at MTSU's Dean Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium and the course is around the beautiful flat and tree-lined Murfreesboro historic district. PrintRutherford County Emergency Medical Serivces' Paramedic Joanna Velasquez calmed a local resident who was being rushed to a Nashville hospital for life saving surgery. She kept the conversation going and the patient's mind on "brighter subjects" during the half hour ride. All of this while monitoring vital signs and informing the St. Thomas ER about the condition of the person.
