  Email   Print

The public is invited to join parents, students and staff at Discovery School for cultural tours from around the world. Check off all your visits on a special passport as you learn about each culture. Sarah Svarda (s-WARD-ah), librarian at the Discovery School at Reeves-Rogers, says the event ties in with their annual book fair...

Svarda says you can dine on fantastic cuisine from the Yayo’s OMG (Original Mexican Gourmet) and Pita Pit food trucks from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. She adds you can visit the silent auction that will include artwork from each classroom and twenty unique pieces donated by Emery’s Fine Art Gallery. Painting with a Twist, The Pottery Place, The Sassy Scrapper and local art businesses have also donated silent auction items. All proceeds from the silent auction and 10% of the sales from food trucks will be used to purchase Scholastic books for a summer reading program.

Discovery School is a Murfreesboro City School located at 1807 Greenland Drive in Murfreesboro. For more information, please call Discovery School at 895-4973.
