Pedestrian Vs. Murfreesboro Police Department Vehicle - accident being investigated by Highway Patrol

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating an accident involving a pedestrian who was struck by a Murfreesboro Police Department vehicle.  The accident occurred on Wednesday evening.  Sgt. Bill Miller with the THP told WGNS the wreck happened in the area of Old Fort Parkway and Market Place in front of Target. 

The THP Critical Response Injury Team is investigating the accident.  We are told that the pedestrian was rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville and their condition has not been released. Witnesses are being interviewed.
