Someone broke into The Boro Bar and Grill in Murfreesboro and stole an entire safe that was locked in an office at the establishment. The theft occurred this past Friday morning. The safe was so large that it took two men to carry it outside the business. Detectives believe the safe was hauled to the area of Nottingham Apartments.

An ATM machine inside the business was also damaged as it appeared as if someone tried to break into it. Sgt. Kyle Evans told WGNS, "At some point, they left to get equipment, including a cutting torch and reentered the business and tried to cut open an ATM inside." The damage to the ATM was said to be over $4,000.

The good news is that the bar is filled with cameras inside and out, which may lead detectives to the culprit or culprits who broke into The Boro. Evidently, the thieves may have been in the business for several hours before leaving.

The theft and vandalism was valued at over $10,000.

So far, an arrest has not been made and police have not released video footage.
