Plans for a new Blackman police precinct for the Murfreesboro Police Department have been put on hold until the new headquarters is complete. The City of Murfreesboro is currently remodeling the old Murfreesboro Medical Clinic site on North Highland Avenue which will soon be the new home to the police department.

Police Chief Glen Chrisman stated:

Again, the idea of building a Blackman police precinct to service that area of Murfreesboro could be reevaluated in the next five years.
