Aggravated assault, theft, and aggravated robbery are the descriptive words that outline a recent incident at Center Pointe Apartments on Old Lascassas Pike in Murfreesboro, according to a police incident report filed on Monday evening. The 57-year old man who filed the report lives in the complex told authorities he was outside walking his dog when he was hit over the back of his head. The victim said that he fell down and upon standing upright, he saw a man inside of his apartment. The victim claimed the subject was wearing a ski mask.

The report shows that the alleged victim told officers the unknown masked man asked him if he had any pain medication at which time the victim replied that he did not. The subject apparently ignored the victim and searched through the apartment looking for medication and eventually found Percocet and Oxycontin.

What stood out in this particular police report is a quote by the responding officer who wrote, “During my investigation I did not observe any force entry, ransacked items, nor damage in the apartment.” The officer went on to note, “I did locate two previous police reports from this agency where the similar crime had been reported and Oxycontin / Percocet were the only items stolen.” This report marks the third such complaint for stolen pain medication filed by the same person.

The case was turned over to detectives, but no arrests have been made.
