A Murfreesboro Police Officer made an arrest after hitting the restroom at a local gas station. The investigation into what led to the arrest actually started in the restroom stall.

Officer Palmer reported that while in a stall he noticed a pill bottle. Before exiting the stall someone knocked on the door in search of the pill bottle. Apparently the owner of the bottle failed to realize there was a police officer in the restroom stall.

Unlike your average Joe, Officer Palmer was able to question the subject about the pills. The first thing the M-P-D officer noticed was that the bottle had been altered, according to the report. The bottle also contained a mixed variety of pills, which is not normal for a prescription pill bottle.

The report showed that the bottle contained 9 Valium (commonly prescribed for anxiety) and 10 Oxymorphone (commonly used as pain medication) pills. The man who was said to be knocking on the door was 46-year old Gregory Wayne Estes. Police searched Estes and say they located several other varieties of pills on his person. The arrest report shows that 24 more Oxymorphone pills were found along with 4 Klonopin (commonly prescribed for panic disorder) pills.

When police tried to place handcuffs on Estes, he allegedly resisted which led to a single charge of resisting arrest. The Smyrna resident was also charged with three separate drug possession charges. He will appear in court this October to face the charges.
