Police respond to a party after uninvited guest reportedly open fire with a .45

Police were called to Aspen Heights Apartments in Murfreesboro in the area of South Rutherford Boulevard on Sunday morning (4/7/14) for a “Shots Fired” incident. The tenants of one apartment told police they were hosting a party when several uninvited guest showed up. The men entered the apartment and reportedly started smoking. The resident asked the men to go outside and smoke and that was when an argument unfolded.

The men, described as black males, struck and jumped one of the tenants. The victim was punched and kicked multiple times. Friends tried their best to break up the chaos and that was when one of the culprits pulled out a handgun and fired three rounds towards the apartment. The men then fled the scene in a Mitsubishi Galant. Only one bullet struck the building.

One person suffered injuries as a result of the attack, but no one was shot. At this point, no arrests have been made. Three .45 shell casings were found at the scene.
