Murfreesboro Police were able to talk a 31 year old woman out of suicide early Thursday morning (7/14/16). The incident unfolded on Medical Center Parkway, where she wanted to jump from a bridge.

In May, a 50 year old man jumped from the same bridge in Murfreesboro. A passerby saw the man standing on the edge of the bridge that is over 50-feet high, but by the time the passerby turned around, the suicidal man had already jumped to his death. Minutes later, police and paramedics found the subject on the ground below, deceased.

As for the woman on Thursday, she told police that she was "Tired of living." Luckily, police were able to intervene and transport her to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro to seek help.
