Caught in the middle of the act… A Murfreesboro Police Officer on routine patrol observed a suspicious vehicle parked at the rear of the Waffle House on Armory Drive in the area of Old Fort Parkway Friday morning. When the officer quietly approached the vehicle, he witnessed one of the two occupants rolling what appeared to be a marijuana joint. The officer says he then observed the subject, later identified as Elliot W. King, prepare to smoke the joint.

Before the marijuana could be smoked, the officer intervened and asked King if he had anymore drugs in the car. King then showed police that he had a mason jar under his seat that contained another 25-grams of marijuana.

22-Year old King was arrested and charged with felony possession of a schedule six drug. He will appear in court this February.
