The Murfreesboro Fire Department is investigating an arson that took place on Monday. Police responded to a vehicle fire on Empress Drive at 4 in the morning. Empress Drive is off of Northfield Blvd. Upon their arrival officers witnessed a 2008 Chevy Cobalt fully engulfed in flames. The fire had even spread to another nearby car, but damage was minimal. The fire department is looking into the incident that was labeled by police as an arson.
