Possible Suicide on Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro

Police in Murfreesboro responded to a suicide call on Sunday night.

A motorist traveling across the bridge on Medical Center Parkway this past Sunday night around 10 told police he witnessed a man climb to the top railing of the bridge. By the time the motorist made a U-turn to offer help, the subject had disappeared.

Murfreesboro Police responded to the area underneath the bridge on Walter Hale Court and found the 50 year old subject on the ground. The Maple Street man was transported to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

WGNS is not releasing the name of the deceased at this time out of respect for his family.
