City Construction Projects

Joe B Jackson Pkwy Construction Project (I-24 and S Church Street)

Expected Lane Closures:  Mondaythrough Friday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm:  Bridge deck steel work continues.  Storm pipe installation work continues on the north side of Joe B Jackson Pkwy between S Church Street and Parson Road.  Public utility service connection work continues along Joe B Jackson between S Church Street and Stevens Bend Road.  There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions.  Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Overall Creek Elementary School Roadway Project (Veterans Pkwy at Mooreland Lane)

Expected Road Closures:  September 3^rd 2013 through June 21^st 2014:  Mooreland Lane at Veterans Pkwy closed in preparation for the new roadway construction and utility work.  All traffic to and from Veterans Pkwy and Mooreland Lane will be detoured through State Route 96 and Rucker Lane.  Proper traffic controls will be in place.

Veterans Pkwy aka Kimbro Road Widening Project (Barfield Road to Saint Andrews Drive)

Expected Lane Closures:  Mondaythrough Friday:  6:30 am to 4:30 pm:  Utility work continues along Veterans Pkwy.  There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Southwest Force Main Project (W College Street/Old Nashville Highway)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday:  Contractor for Water &Sewer Department will be installing force sewer main lines W College St/Old Nashville Highway near Thompson Lane.  W College Street/Old Nashville Highwaywill be reduced to one lane with flagging operation.  Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

S Church Street Sidewalk Repair/Upgrade Project

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm:  Incidental sidewalk repair work continuous along S Church Street between CSX Bridge and Rushwood Drive.  Work entails removing and replacing existing damaged concrete sidewalk.  There will be minor lane closures and traffic interruptions on the northbound lanes of S Church Street.  Southbound traffic will not be affected.  Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
