Again, the situation was only a prank. No arrest were made after the investigation was completed. Once more, 7 of the 9 were football players.

Several armed subjects who were wearing ski mask alarmed residents in Murfreesboro on Tuesday night. Sgt. Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Department explains what happened...

At least 7 of the 9 subjects who were accused in the prank were MTSU Football Players. Because they were not arrested, we have not released their names.

Again, the incident was only a prank and no arrests were made after an investigation was conducted.

Head Football Coach Rick Stockstill stated:

"What started out as a playful prank by a group of freshmen could have turned into something worse. It's a valuable teaching lesson that I can use to help our young people. I talk to them daily about the violence going on in our country and how easily this could have turned into a similar situation. We will handle discipline internally.

"I am also very appreciative of the way Murfreesboro and University Police handled the situation and acted promptly."
