Rutherford County is well represented in the TSSAA football playoffs.  Five teams made the field in their respective classes. On WGNS State Farm football Friday night, is number one seed Siegel hosting number eight seed Oakland. Pregame coverage begins at 6 with a 7pm kickoff. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Blackman at Cookeville contest in round two.  Number six seed Riverdale travels to number three seed Cane Ridge Friday night. In the Single-A bracket, number four Eagleville hosts number five Monterey.
