Production of Nissan Murano Likely Moving to Smyrna

More good news for Rutherford County’s economy. The manufacturing of the Nissan Murano will likely move to the Smyrna plant in 2014. The Murano is a midsized crossover SUV. The Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun newspaper in Japan reported in its Thursday paper that the production of the SUV would be in Smyrna. To make way for the production of the vehicle, Nissan will likely have to hire more employees in the near future.
