Proof of Residence Required for ALL County Students

Parents of students in Rutherford County Schools may have received a message from their child's school about a new requirement for the upcoming year. Returning students are required to provide proof of residence to ensure your child is enrolled in the school in which they're zoned. This is a county policy for all Rutherford County Schools. New students will also have to provide the same proof of residence. Returning students will receive a registration card on the first day of school, August 8th. The card along with two proofs of residence must be returned to the school by August 16th. Students who don't complete this process by then won't be allowed back into the school until the required documents have been turned in.

Also, all children entering the 7th grade must show proof of these the Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis booster and varicella immunization by August 12th in order to be able to return to school. This is a state Department of Health requirement.
