Public Meeting On City Employee Wage Increases

The Murfreesboro City Council will conduct a public meeting on Monday, May 11, 2015, to learn about recommendations for wage increases for city employees. The open gathering will be in the City Council Chambers that are located behind the elevators in the Murfreesboro City Hall at 111 West Vine Street.

City spokesperson Mike Browning told NewsRadio WGNS that the public meeting will begin at 5:30 and continue for approximately an hour.

Council members will meet with the Management Advisory Group, Inc. to discuss the draft and Comprehensive Study report. The 300-page draft report recommends annualized employee pay increases totaling over $2.3 million.

This meeting will be of particular interest to city employees.
