A. Marshall Family Foods, owner of Puckett's Grocery, have purchased the 7,600 square foot building at 114 North Church Street, on the northeast side of the Murfreesboro square. The new restaurant in the historic downtown district should be open late fall.

Long ago this was the site of the Woolworth' Five and Dime Store, and more recently it housed the Blue Rooster, and most recently The Big Bang--Duelling Pianos. It has the Guidance Center on one side and Palace Barber Shop on the other.

Reports indicate that the Puckett's Grocery (restaurant) location on Murfreesboro's square will include the menu, live music and ambiance that makes its other popular eateries in Leiper's Fork, Franklin, downtown Nashville, Chattanooga's riverfront, Columbia, and a third Williamson County location that is called The Boathouse so popular.
