Christmas shoppers are obviously in foreward mode, but so are construction crews working to complete projects before cold weather sets in. Traffic Engineer Ram Balachandran warns of areas to avoid between now and December 15th.

City Construction Projects

Veterans Pkwy (New section between Barfield Road/Kimbro Road and Barfield Crescent Road)

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Final Striping and Street Lighting work continues on Veterans Pkwybetween Lone Oak Drive and Barfield Road. There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Bradyville Pike Road Survey Work (between Broad Street and Rutherford Blvd)

Expected NO Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Surveying crews will be working along Bradyville Pike between Broad Street and Rutherford Blvd. There will be no lane closures. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Annual City Street Paving Project

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Citymilling, paving, striping and casting crews will be working on the following streets and subdivisions: Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions during these operations.

Highland Ave (between Northfield Blvd and Greenland Drive)

Saint Andrews Drive (between Roscommon Dr and Cason Trail)
E Lytle Street (between Middle Tennessee Blvd and Cherry Ln)
E Lytle Street (between Spring Street and Maple Street)
E Main Street (between Middle Tennessee Blvd and N Baird Lane)
Middle Tennessee Blvd (between Tennis Courts and Joint at E Main Street)
