City Construction Projects

Joe B Jackson Pkwy Construction Project (I-24 and S Church Street)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm:  Storm pipe installation work continues on the north side of Joe B Jackson Pkwy between S Church Street and Parson Road.  Public utility service connection work continues along Joe B Jackson between S Church Street and Stevens Bend Road.  There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions.  Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Overall Creek Elementary School Roadway Project (Veterans Pkwy at Mooreland Lane)

Expected Road Closures:  September 3^rd 2013 through June 21^st 2014:  Mooreland Lane at Veterans Pkwy closed in preparation for the new roadway construction and utility work.  All traffic to and from Veterans Pkwy and Mooreland Lane will be detoured through State Route 96 and Rucker Lane.  Proper traffic controls will be in place.

Veterans Pkwy aka Kimbro Road Widening Project (Barfield Road to Saint Andrews Drive)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday:  6:30 am to 4:30 pm:  Utility work continues along Veterans Pkwy.  There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Atmos Energy Project (W College Street/Old Nashville Highway between Thompson Lane)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday:  Atmos Energy will be replacing high pressure steel main lines W College St/Old Nashville Highway near Thompson Lane.  There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions on W College Street/Old Nashville Highway.  Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Turn Lane Improvement Project (just south of NW Broad Street and Florence Road)

Expected Road Closures:  Monday through Wednesday: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm: Construction crews will be installing turn lanes on NW Broad Street just south of Florence Road.  There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions on NW Broad Street.  Appropriate traffic controls and will be in place.

S Church Street Sidewalk Repair/Upgrade Project

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm:  Incidental sidewalk repair work continuous along S Church Street between CSX Bridge and Rushwood Drive.  Work entails removing and replacing existing damaged concrete sidewalk.  There will be minor lane closures and traffic interruptions on the northbound lanes of S Church Street.  Southbound traffic will not be affected.  Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
