Ram's Potential Traffic Snarls NOW through Nov. 15th

Crews at construction projects beef-up their work to finish before winter hits. Traffic Engineer Ram Balachandran warns of potential trouble spots to avoid now through November 15th.

Joe B Jackson Pkwy Construction Project (I-24 and S Church Street)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm: Driveway ramp, sidewalk and sodding work continues along Joe B Jackson Pkwy between Stevens Bend Road and S Church Street. There will be incidental lane closures traffic interruptions for stone and concrete deliveries between 7 am and 8 am. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Veterans Pkwy aka Kimbro Road Widening Project (Barfield Road to Saint Andrews Drive)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: 6:30 am to 4:30 pm: Utility installations, storm drain, box culvert, curb & gutter, base stone and fill material work continues on Veterans Pkwy. There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions (trucks entering and exiting the job site). Traffic on Veterans Pkwy has been shifted to the south side. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Bridge over Broad Street TDOT Project

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 pm to 5:00 am: There will be alternating lane closures on NW Broad Street, Ridgley Road and W College Street for underground utility crossing. There will be lane shifts and traffic interruptions. Broadmor Blvd is closed to traffic at Memorial Blvd for utility crossing construction work. Broadmor Blvd can still be accessed from NW Broad Street. W Lytle Street is also closed to traffic at NW Broad Street for construction work. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

XO Communication Fiber Project

1 College St between Spring St and Highland Ave

2 Highland Ave between College St and Bell St

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00am - 2:00 pm: Contractor for XO Communications will be installing underground fiber optic lines on College St between Spring St & Maney Ave, Highland Ave between College St and Bell St and Bell St just east of Highland Ave. There will be partial lane closures and traffic interruptions. Directional drilling equipment will be setup at the on College St near Spring St and Highland Ave near Bell St. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Murfreesboro Electric Department Streetlight Pole Work (New Salem Hwy between Bridge Ave and W Main St)

Expected Road Closures: Tuesday & Wednesday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Murfreesboro Electric Department crews will beinstalling streetlight poles on New Salem Highway between Bridge Ave and W Main St. Northbound traffic on New Salem Hwy will be reduced to one lane between Bridge Ave and W Main St. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

New Walmart Project (S Church Street at Joe B Jackson Pkwy)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Sunday: Contractor for Walmart will be making roadway improvements (adding turn lanes and traffic signals) on S Church Street and on Joe B Jackson Pkwy. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Sewer Line Installation Project (Saint Andrews Dr just south of Shady Forest Dr)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Sunday: Contractor for a private development will begin installing sewer lines on Saint Andrews Dr just south of Shady Forest Dr. Saint Andrews Dr will be reduced to one lane with temporary traffic control signal. Appropriate signal timing, signage and markings will be in-place.

Annual City Street Paving Project

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM: City casting, milling, paving crews will be working on the following streets: Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions.

Roscommon Dr between Azure Way and 2740 Saint Andrews Dr

Riverstone Dr between Centertree Dr and Cason Trl

Peartree Ct between Centertree Dr and Cul-de-Sac

E Castle between Highland Ave and Hancock Dr
