Ram's Potential Traffic Tie-Ups Through January 26th

What traffic areas might produce challenges during this "True Blue Week"?  Engineer Ram Balachandran gives his weekly forecast of areas to avoid now through January 26th. 

City Construction Projects

Bradyville Pike Road Survey Work (between Broad Street and Rutherford Blvd)

Expected NO Lane Closures: Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Surveying crews will be working along Bradyville Pike between Broad Street and Rutherford Blvd. There will be no lane closures. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Murfreesboro Urban Environmental Landscape Maintenance Project (Central Business District)

ExpectedNO LaneClosures; Contractor for City of Murfreesboro Urban Environmental Department will be planting trees around the central business district and the public square. There will be minor traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Murfreesboro Water & Sewer Project (S Baird Lane between E Main Street and E Castle Street)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM: The contractor for the Water and Sewer Department will be replacing sanitary sewer pipe on S Baird Lane (north to south) between E Main Street and E Castle Street. S Baird Lane will be closed to through traffic. Driveway access to local residents will be kept open at all times. Appropriate traffic controlswill be in place.

Thompson Lane (between Sam Walton Drive and Old Fort Pkwy)

Expected Lane Closures: Wednesday, 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM: Contractor for Level III Communications will be installing overhead fiber optic lines on Thompson Lane. There will be lane closures on Thompson Lane. All work will be done at night. Arrow board and proper traffic controls will be in place.
