Ram's Road Report Through October 6th!

Fall weather alerts road crews to finish projects before cold weather hits. Traffic Engineer Ram Balachandran warns motorists that increased construction action may create challenges at some locations now through October 6th. 

City Construction Projects

Veterans Pkwy (New section between Barfield Road/Kimbro Road and Barfield Crescent Road)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Paving work continues on Barfield Road near Veterans Pkwy. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Pavement Repair Work (NW Broad Street at Florence Road

Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Wednesday, 9 AM to 4:00 PM: The contractor for Murfreesboro Streets Department will be doing pavement repair work on NW Broad Street at Florence Road. Only northbound lanes on NW Broad Street will be affected. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Traffic Signal Work (SE Broad Street at Maney Avenue)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 3:00 PM: Pedestrian signal installing work continues intermittently at this location. There will be minor traffic interruptions and partial lane closures. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

S Church Street (between Veterans Pkwy and Warrior Dr)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM: Contractor for Murfreesboro Electric Department will be trimming tree limbs around utility power poles on S Church Street between Veterans Pkwy and Warrior Drive. There will be a moving operation lane closure on S Church Street. Only northbound traffic will be affected by the lane closure. Arrow board and proper traffic controls will be in place.

Medical Center Pkwy (between Joe Knight Dr and Thompson Lane)
Thompson Lane (between Medical Center Pkwy and Old Fort Pkwy)

Expected Lane Closures: Sunday and Friday, 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM: Contractor for Level III Communications will be installing underground and overhead fiber optic lines on Medical Center Pkwy (Sunday - Wednesday) and Thompson Lane (Wednesday - Friday). There will be a moving operation lane closure Medical Center Pkwy (westbound lane) and Thompson Lane (southbound lane). All work will be done at night. Arrow board and proper traffic controls will be in place.
