Ram's "Road Warnings" Through October 13th!

Fall is here and construction projects will often speed-up to finish before winter, and that sometimes creates traffic problems. Traffic Engineer Ram Balachandran warns of areas to avoid in the 'Boro between now and October 13th. 

City Construction Projects

Veterans Pkwy (New section between Barfield Road/Kimbro Road and Barfield Crescent Road)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Paving work continues on Barfield Road near Veterans Pkwy. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Traffic Signal Work (SE Broad Street at Maney Avenue)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 3:00 PM: Pedestrian signal installing work continues intermittently at this location. There will be minor traffic interruptions and partial lane closures. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

S Church Street (between Veterans Pkwy and Warrior Dr)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM: Contractor for Murfreesboro Electric Department will be trimming tree limbs around utility power poles on S Church Street between Veterans Pkwy and Warrior Drive. There will be a moving operation lane closure on S Church Street. Only northbound traffic will be affected by the lane closure. Arrow board and proper traffic controls will be in place.

Thompson Lane (between Medical Center Pkwy and Old Fort Pkwy)

Expected Lane Closures: Sunday, 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM: Contractor for Level III Communications will be installing overhead fiber optic lines across Old Fort Pkwy near Thompson Lane. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions on Old Fort Pkwy. All work will be done at night. Proper traffic controls will be in place.

Thompson Lane (between Medical Center Pkwy and Old Fort Pkwy)

Expected NO Lane Closures: Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM: Contractor for XO Communications will be installing underground fiber optic lines across E Lytle Street near N Church Street. There will be minor traffic interruptions with no lane closures. A short section of sidewalk on the north east corner of the intersection will be closed. Proper traffic controls will be in place.
