RCEMS Carl Hudgens Named "Paramedic of the Year"

The Murfreesboro Noon Exchange Club has honored a local emergency responder as the "Paramedic of the Year".

Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services' Carl Hudgens was honored at a special luncheon. He began his career with RCEMS in 1988 where he served on a 911 emergency ambulance working 24 hour shifts.

In 2005 Hudgens was promoted to Station Manger and then in 2006 was made Assistant Director.

Carl Hudgens received the honor from the Exchange Club because of his selfless dedication to serving the citizens of Rutherford County.

Carl, or "Cuz" as he is known to his friends, is married to Pat Hudgens, who is the Vice Principle at Blackman Middle School. In his time away from work, Carl is an avid fisherman.

The Murfreesboro Noon Exchange Club was chartered 36-years ago works to make our community a better place to live through programs in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities and the Prevention of Child Abuse.
