Many residents are arguing that four Walmart stores will make it hard on locally owned retailers in Murfreesboro while others say they are thankful for the jobs. Regardless of which side you may be on, the reality is about to kick in as Walmart three and four are constructed and soon open.

Blasting looks to be, for the most part, done at the future location on South Church Street at County Farm Road (now called Joe B. Jackson Parkway). Crews have cleared the land and are in the process of smoothing the site with gravel. After the building is constructed it could be open as soon as the end of 2014 or perhaps early 2015.

The fourth Walmart is coming along quite quickly and will be open no later than Black Friday of this year.
