The American Cancer Society Relay for Life walk that was recently held at Middle Tennessee Christian School was a huge success. Marsha Logue told WGNS that over 500 people attended the fundraiser.

While numbers are only preliminary at this point, they have already raised $70,000 and money is still funneling in. Logue said that the event was full of family fun with some fantastic music by the three bands that included Frazier and Company, Gentry Wheat and Boom.

While the event lasted all night, only 60 to 70 people were still walking to show their support for loved ones fighting cancer. Those who continued the walk watched the sun come up on a new day filled with promises to stay strong and keep fighting for cures.
