Record Growth Leads to Need for More Murfreesboro City School Classrooms

Just over 12-percent growth over the last two school years is leading Murfreesboro City Schools to add classroom space and consider a new school in the near future.

In addition to more students, Director Linda Gilbert tells NewsRadio WGNS free breakfasts have been a success for the system. She reports 98-percent attendance and dramatic decreases in tardiness, which she believes is due to breakfast being offered for free to all students.
