Recycle Rutherford will hold its semi-annual meeting Monday October 28 at 7 p.m. in the 2nd floor courtroom of the Rutherford County Courthouse in Murfreesboro. The meeting will feature guest speaker Buford Powell, manager of the LaVergne plant of SP Fiber Technologies, who will track the journey of papers dropped into one of the many recycling bins around the county. What happens to that phone book you take to the recycling center? Mr. Powell will answer that question.

The SP LaVergne buyback center and drop-off location accepts newspapers, cardboard, magazines, all grades of office paper, mixed paper, aluminum cans, plastic, and super sacks. The company works with non-profits to raise funds and will create customized recycling programs for companies.
