After Sam Stockard of the Murfreesboro Post wrote in a recent article, "Regal Inn owners are adopting "no-tolerance" rules toward illegal activity after falling under criticism by city officials for lax policies on crime at the motel off South Church Street near I-24." WGNS thought we would check into the motel to learn more.
WGNS found that some customers at the Regal are pleased with their stay...

Currently, there are 5 registered sex offenders living at the Regal Inn on South Church Street. At one point in 2013, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation documented on their website that 14 convicted sex offenders were living on the property.
Stockard wrote in his news story, "Thomas R. Throneberry Properties is using a daily police report to reduce calls by 25 percent and find out if Regal Inn policies are being broken so it can order violators to vacate the premises, according to a letter from Beth Throneberry to MayorShane McFarland."
