Riverdale softball and baseball along with Eagleville baseball are still alive in the drive for a Blue Cross Spring Fling appearance next week. In a game heard on WGNS, Jonathan King pitched a complete game, giving up only three hits and striking out 11 in the Warrior's 1-nothing win over Columbia. Riverdale softball overcame a shaky early start to route Shelbyville 9-3. Eagleville baseball scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning at White House Heritage to win 2-nothing.

Smyrna softball lost at Lincoln County 4-nothing to end their season after the first region tournament berth since 1996. Siegel baseball suffered a crushing defeat at Tullahoma. After tying the game 2-2 in the top of the seventh, the Wildcats hit a walk-off home run to end the Stars season with a 3-to-2 win.

On Wednesday, region finals. Riverdale baseball will travel to Tullahoma and Eagleville baseball will play at Cascade. It will be the sixth meeting between the two teams this year.
