(Past News Story) - The Riverdale girls will attempt to make it two in a row. They'll defend their Triple-A Blue Cross Basketball Championship beginning at 10am Wednesday. They'll play the Lady Bruins of Brentwood, who are making their first trip since 2004 to the state tournament. Riverdale, in five state tournament appearances, has won three championships, finished runner up in 2011 and are 13-and-2 in games played at the Murphy Center. Bryan Barrett and Jon Dinkins will have WGNS State Farm coverage of the Blue Cross Basketball Championships beginning at 9:45 Wednesday morning.
